樂壽堂，「樂壽堂」橫匾是由光緒寫的。庭中除擺設有銅鹿、銅鶴、銅瓶、滅火水缸。水缸上還有壽字。還有太湖石和一大嚿敗家石；種有玉蘭、西海棠、牡丹這些名貴花木，取其「玉堂富貴」的意思。

敗家石是明朝時一個官在房山發現了這嚿色青而潤，形狀像靈芝的大石，他本想搬返屋企，但搬搬吓唔夠錢，就丟在路邊，放棄了。後來乾隆花了很多錢將它搬到頤和園，取名「青芝岫」。用咁多錢去搬嚿石頭，證明乾隆也是敗家仔。

水木自親殿在昆明湖邊，有一個雕欄石砌的碼頭，供慈禧太后以水路進出頤和園。

頤和園的樑枋上的彩畫，主要是蘇式彩畫。

蘇式彩畫的主要特點是只有少量規定圖案：

枋的左右有一或兩排圓珠似的卡子；

兩行卡子中或一行卡子旁是陰陽回文；

回文外是箍頭；

箍頭外就是枋子集錦，可畫山水人物、花鳥蟲魚；

接著是烟雲包袱，有五色粉退暈，每種退暈的顏色可以有五道、七道或九道，包袱心的圖畫也是沒有限制。

玉瀾堂，正殿曾是光緒辦公的地方，他曾在此召見袁世凱，商議變法維新。玉瀾堂的西北間，是光緒的寢宮。它本是穿堂殿，慈禧太后要囚禁光緒，就叫人用磚將它封了。現在也是封住了。

宜芸館，宜芸是藏書的意思。這是光緒皇后的寢宮。裕隆皇后之所以能成為皇后，不是因她的外貌，是因為她姓葉赫那拉氏，為慈禧太后的姪女。

Mutton Pao Mo is probably the most famous snack meal in Xian. And Beef Pao Mo is a variation. On our first night in Xian, the taxi driver told us not to have it for late night snack as it would be hard to digest and we wouldn't be able to sleep. It was on the 3rd day in Xian, while looking for a late lunch and passing by too many places that we didn't dare go into because of the poor hygiene that we found this small restaurant specialising only in Beef Pao Mo. The dish is baked unlevened bread torn or chopped into little pieces served by pouring hot beef soup and vermicelli into a bowl. There are lots of parsley in the broth and the chilli variety would include chilli. We asked for non chilli and I asked to break my own pao mo bread into pieces.

It was indeed a filling and warming dish. Very hot and rich in beef smell and taste and a real homely and comforting dish. We were full for a few hours after. My husband who had 2 pcs of bread in his bowl was full even at dinner time.

This restaurant is recommended by the tourist board and many guide books. It is within a Chinese run hotel of the same name on one of the city centre streets. It has 10 famous dishes of which we only ordered one as others were the type that make up a scenic picture with bits of colourful food. We ordered the Hulu chicken though and it was marinated, steamed and deep fried. Maybe that was why the meat was tasty throughout the chicken, even in the breast.

We ordered other dishes photographed and I am lazy to introduce them. Mostly self explanatory and all taste good. So definitely go to this restaurant where price is very reasonable and service was good.

頤和園，依萬壽山而建，萬壽山是燕山山脈的餘脈，高58.59米。

1860年英法聯軍燒毀清漪園，1886年，慈禧太后挪用海軍軍費重修。

1888年完工，改名為頤和園，取「頤養太和」之意，成為慈禧太后晚年的頤養的地方。

因為慈禧太后和光绪皇帝都在這裏坐朝聽政、頒發諭旨、接見外國使節，使頤和園成為清末皇室在紫禁城之外最重要的政治和外交活動的地方。

1898年，光绪皇帝曾在頤和園仁壽殿策劃維新變法事，變法失敗後，光緒就被慈禧太后囚禁在玉瀾堂至死。

頤和園，主要由萬壽山、昆明湖两大風景區组成，面積290公里，其中湖的面積佔了四分之三。景點超過一百處，不可能一天看完。

我們由正門—東宮門入園，經仁壽殿、玉瀾堂、宜芸館、樂壽堂、長廊，遙望排雲殿、佛香閣、石舫、荇橋、九曲橋、宿雲簷、大船塢、半壁橋，經石橋、北如意門。

我們在全聚德主要吃牆紙，其次吃烤鴨，沒有吃地毯，因為地上有很多紙巾、骨頭，拍了照，不過不給你看，免得看了反胃。

如果廚師剛片好烤鴨，我們就立刻包上荷葉餅吃，那烤鴨是不錯的，皮脆、該不脆的地方也脆、油不多、很甘香，肉也鮮而不臊。

只是吃前有美女示範如何包裹來吃，禮貌上都要等她示範完畢，而且我等不是狼吞虎嚥一族，在慷慨的冷氣下，烤鴨才在桌上轉了一圈，我們就要嘗一鴨第二吃：要小心撕開涼了會糊在一起的荷葉餅，包著京蔥、麵醬、冷鴨、冇青瓜的另一款吃法。

狗不理包子在全聚德對面，有140年歷史的。

我們只有兩小時的食飯行街時間，吃了全聚德就吃不下包子，可是，我們又不甘心，於是買包子外賣。這樣，就可以行十來分鐘王府井小吃街。上車食包，皮薄而軟、餡有肉鮮味、還有汁！又幾好味噃！名不虛傳！

 

王府井小吃街是貴價小吃街，北京的市民不會來這兒消費。這兒是遊客區，所有東西都比較貴。放眼四望，跟電視上旅遊節目所見的一模一樣，很有樣板的味道。

這是旅遊節目主持人說這是北京地道風味，可不是北京市民說這是北京的地道風味。

令老外大吃一驚的串燒：活生生的蠍子，海馬乾，蟬……，咁咪可以吸引人注意囉。

幸好仍有優化咗嘅冰糖葫蘆：士多啤梨、李子、提子、山楂……，真係乜都有！

又有外國食品—土耳其烤肉，吸引中國各地遊客。

又有中國各地風味小食，吸引遊客。

被旅遊推介荼毒嘅E，真係買咗1串烤蠍子。食落似乜？咪好似將D蝦仔，連殼鹽燒。

茶翁古鎮,三州茶園,雲中部落
一早起身食早餐,再行過~ 係茶翁古鎮,三州茶園都花左不少時間,好多山路行,少d腳骨力都唔得~
再搭轉乘車到雲中部落,行玻璃橋,一d都唔驚呀!

Finally, to see them in real. It doesn't disappoint and we even saw the man who dug the well and discovered the statues. He was selling a book on the warriors and signing them.

It is said that Xian is the most famous place to have dumpling banquets and this is one of the most recommended restaurants. The ground floor only serves one type of dumplings and other cooked dishes, so make sure you go to the second floor which serves many types of dumpling banquets. We chose the most basic set with 17 types of dumplings and 4 cold dishes. We thought that would be more than enough for us.
We started off with 4 cold starters. I really liked the raw walnuts with green bamboo as it was refreshing. There was a beef tendon dish which was OK but I didn't like a sour shredded vegetable with mustard dressing or the green vegetables mixed with minced garlic. I think minced garlic always ruins the taste of the vegetables.
The dumplings were mainly steamed with different fillings, shapes and tastes. Pork, vegetables, crab, tomato, spicy, pumpkin, mixed and to be honest, can't remember which was which. Then there was a small pot of soup where they heat up the smallest dumplings in front of you, this is meant to be dumpling made to impress the empress who wanted something special way back in  history. To end up, there is a baked sweet dumpling and a fried dumpling followed by fresh foods. There is too much food for a meal, so it's better to go for dinner. We also ordered a jug of soy milk which was a bit bland and lacked bean taste.

I think this meal is a wonderful experience. You should try it.

Moslem St was half closed but there were still lots of stalls selling dry food products like dates, nuts, snacks and road side food stalls and restaurants. Most the food had lots of chilli in it. We settled in a clean looking Moslem restaurant. We looked around and ordered 10 sticks of BBQ beef (minimum) and 5 sticks of lamb with some flat toasted bread. They were delicious and had some spiced peppercorn in everything. Each meat stick were made up of 2 pieces of meat, first and last with a piece of fat in the middle. We also had some lamb bone called lamb hoof. It had hardly any meat on it, just some skin and tendon. The tendon was very gluely but had a lot of flavour. I guess you just suck it a bit. I then went to choose some vegetables and mushrooms on sticks to be boiled in a pot. I saw they put sesame sauce and chilli on them afterwards but I asked them not to put chilli on. The lamb skewers were so nice we ordered 5 more. That was a great midnight snack.
