The chef from Soigne on Day 1 of our trip had recommended Jung Sik Dang to us, a New Korean fine dining restaurant with a branch in New York which is the first Korean restaurant to obtain 2 Michelin stars in the US. We decided to come here for lunch where 4 courses starts from ₩50,000 and it was another highlight of our meals in Seoul! They serve traditional Korean where food is highly refined and the flavors are exciting as traditional dishes are presented in a new and modern way. The decor was classy yet modern while the service was top-notch. Highly recommend and a must-try!

Our last meal in Seoul and we had to go try the legendary samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) at Tosokchon! I had heard that the queue can be hours long but I was pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away when we arrived at 6pm on a Sunday. The regular ginseng chicken soup costs ₩15,000 which includes a whole chicken stuffed with glutinous rice and one large ginseng root. The piping hot broth was heartwarming in the cold weather while the chicken meat was very soft and tender. I especially love the glutinous rice inside the chicken which was full of flavors.
