I actually looked it up from the tripadvisor.com, seeing so many positive comments towards the cuisines here, I decided to give a try when I visited Shanghai. It is a very nice decorated restaurant. A very impressive fusion one. It is very close to the Bund(the popular sightseeing place) by 5 mins walk only, which is quite convenient. When we entered the restaurant, my first impression was like it’s an art gallery place, with lots of Yunnan style of painting/ photography. The interior design of this restaurant is also very impressive, together with the equipments for dining and the background music playing around the restaurant. Gosh, we were falling in love with this restaurant!
Surprise surprise surprise! The price for dishes here is not very expensive, which is affordable and reasonable price! Believe me, when I first entered this restaurant, I thought the price would be high, but turned out, surprisingly not! I believe we could not find something similar like this in Hong Kong!
We ordered 3 dishes, 1 bowl of soup and 2 cocktails. They’re really delicate and exquisite:
1. Yunnan Wild vegetable Cakes: very crunchy and it matches well and tastes really good with the tomato sauce. It worths to be tried!
2. Dali Style Chicken with Chili and green onions: heard that it’s one of the popular dishes here. I like the chili and green onion sauce on the chicken. Taste really fabulous together!
3. Sauced Eggplants with Tofu: a refreshing cold dish. Tofu tastes really soft and the eggplants are really juicy!
4. Chili soup with Mushroom, hard Tofu and Sea Cucumber: quite spicy but in a fresh and subtle way. Also sea cucumber is a good ingredient with rich collagen. A nice dish for ladies.
I highly recommend this restaurant for you if you come over to visit Shanghai, it’s suitable to go with either family, friends or partner.
